Vodkat Classics : for sassy drinkers

Inter Continental Brands is extending its Vodkat brand in a move to capitalise on the growing popularity of lower-alcohol vodka liqueurs.

The Harrogate-based supplier is rolling out a four-strong range called Vodkat Classics after its 22 per cent abv vodka liqueur Vodkat grew sales by 237 per cent in the past year. Paul Burton, joint managing director at InterContinental Brands, said: "In reality, the Vodkat brand has created a very substantial new niche by directly matching the aspirations of the smart and sassy, primarily 18 to 30-year-old, consumer group, who love a good time and are adventurous enough to try something new and different."

Vodkat Classics

will be available in four flavours -

cherry,

citron,

pear and

raspberry - and comes in a 50cl frosted bottle. Leaflets inserted into the front of a neck-collar will feature nine cocktail recipes.

The judges met last week to sort out the winners in the independent categories of our 2018 Drinks Retailing Awards.
