Roosters has something to crow about?
Yorkshire brewer Roosters is planning to release a number of new bottled beers this year.
The Knaresborough-based company is working on a UK-hopped IPA, which will be released in cask format soon. A beer called Jasmin IPA will follow.
The brewer is also maturing some stout in whisky casks, which it said was almost ready for release.
The new beers follow recent success for Roosters at the World Beer Cup in Chicago, where its Leghorn and YPA brews won gold and silver in the English Summer Ale category.
Brewdog, Shepherd Neame and Thornbridge were among other British award winners at the competition, but Roosters was the only UK brewer to pick up two prizes.
Roosters owner Sean Franklin said: “The awards have come at a great time as we introduce new beers on to the market. We love hoppy beers and we think it’s time to push the envelope with a few exciting surprises.”
