Distribution of Tusker Kenyan lager has extended from 31 to 55 Booker depots. Distributor Surfax said the move came amid increased demand from Booker customers for premium imported lagers. Managing director Peter Karsten said: "While other premium lager sales are falling, genuine imports are up by over 16%. The Booker success story is clearly demonstrating this is the case."

Inbev has made major changes to its UK and Ireland business to "get closer to the needs of customers".

The "flatter" structure sees the business split into six divisions, two of which will cover off-trade multiples and on-trade independents. Board changes include the appointment of Simon Harrison as commercial director for the independent off-trade. Steve Kitching, who had been managing director for commercial and field operations, has left the business.

Greene King has created a new website for its Old Speckled Hen ale brand. The site - - is composed entirely of photographs featuring New York portrait artist Marvin Mattelson, who created the latest Not So Traditional English Ale ad campaign for the brand.

Sainsbury's has added a Belgian lager in a PET bottle to its imported beer range. Bière des Moulins is a 3.8% abv beer in 50cl bottles selling at 99p each, and is aimed at consumers wanting a beer to accompany the traditional summer favourites of picnics and barbecues.

Lincolnshire brewer Batemans is reintroducing its popular seasonal ale, Summer Swallow. The 4.2% abv beer, described as having a "floral nose and a subtle bitter taste", is brewed using East Anglian barley and East Kent Golding hops. The off-trade bottled version will be available through supermarkets and wholesalers. Like all Batemans bottled beers, Summer Swallow is described as being both vegan- and vegetarian-friendly.
