United Brands picks up distribution deal

02 October, 2007

Southampton-based United Brands has secured a deal with Blackwood Distillers to distribute its portfolio of spirits in the UK.

The move will bring Blackwood's Vintage Dry Gin into United Brands’ portfolio by Oct 15, along with Blackwood’s Vodka, Diva Vodka and Jago’s Cream Liqueur.

Mark Dawkins, director of United Brands, said: “We set out with an objective to become not only an innovative and flexible business partner to the trade but to have a dynamic quality portfolio of premium drinks. Blackwood’s fits like a glove.”

The agreement will leave Blackwood's free to focus on brand development and global exports from its Shetland base, a spokesman said.
