Cadbury goes over to the darker side
Cadbury Trebor Bassett 's newly launched Bournville Deeply Dark, made with 60 per cent cocoa, target s consumers who find some brands of dark chocolate too bitter.
Cadbury is investing £2 million in the brand launch.
Head of customer relations Mike Tipping said: "Dark chocolate sales have experienced substantial growth over the past two years, but there is an opportunity to drive sales further by offering a more mainstream product."
Cadbury Trebor Bassett is recalling a selection of its Easter chocolates due to cross contamination with products containing nuts and the absence of nut allergy labelling.
