Liqueurs de France launches Swiss absinthe

04 September, 2012

Liqueurs de France has launched a premium Swiss absinthe to join its Enigma range.

Enigma Verte Suisse has already claimed a silver medal at the 2012 London IWSC.

It is produced in small batches at an artisan distillery called Matter-Luginbühl in Switzerland.

The distillery already produces several absinthes and Liqueurs de France said it was a natural choice when it decided to commission a Swiss absinthe to complement its two French absinthes, Enigma verte and Enigma blanche.

The distillery adheres to craft principles and each bottle of Enigma Verte Suisse is labeled by hand.

Ian Hutton, director of Liqueurs de France, said: “Our aim is to provide the on- and off-trade with the very best selection of premium absinthes.

“Retailers can be confident that if they select an Enigma absinthe they will be providing their customers with the finest hand crafted products. ”

Enigma Verte Suisse is distilled from plants including Artemisia absinthium, green anise and fennel.

Liqueurs de France said this absinthe will please those looking for a refined, elegant drink with plenty of wormwood flavour.

The shops that stand out from the madding crowd

The judges met last week to sort out the winners in the independent categories of our 2018 Drinks Retailing Awards.
