Fuller's puts fruits of collaborations with six brewers into mixed pack for Waitrose
Fuller’s has collaborated with six UK craft brewers to produce a mixed pack of half a dozen new beers.
The Fuller’s & Friends project features a dry-hopped lager made with Fourpure, a New Zealand saison with Marble, a red rye ale with Thornbridge, a New England IPA with Cloudwater, a smoked Porter with Hardknott and a homage to extra special bitter with Moor Beer.
The collection will be launched as a gift box exclusively in Waitrose in time for Christmas.
Six members of the Fuller’s brewing team were paired up with the breweries to work on every stage of their beer’s development, from recipe creation, through the brewing process, to designing the artwork and naming the beers.
John Keeling, Fuller’s global ambassador, said: “It has been a privilege to be able to welcome these six brewers to Fuller’s home to create these new beers.
“I have always enjoyed doing collaborations and to extend this to include brewers from other breweries all over the country seemed like it would be such fun for everyone.
“Collaborating on beers is much more effective when meeting a brewer face to face. Collaboration is not just about agreeing a recipe then brewing a beer, it is a great way to make friends.
“The levels of enthusiasm and creativity in our first meeting was so inspiring and it did not take long for recipes and trial brews to follow.”
