Enotria adds US organic producer Bonterra to its portfolio

08 March, 2018

Enotria&Coe has announced Bonterra will be joining its portfolio from this month.

The US producer’s varietal wines are made from 100% certified organic vineyards, and the company has a legacy of organic farming that dates back to 1987.

Enotria’s buying, marketing and retail director, Jon Pepper MW, said: “We are delighted to be working with Bonterra. The quality of their range is unmatched and as a brand with a solid global presence the estate is well positioned to continue its success as part of the Enotria&Coe cross-channel growth strategy.”

Rodrigo Maturana, Bonterra Organic Vineyards vice president of marketing and exports, said: “The UK is a sophisticated market and well suited for our range. We have a strong history here and we look forward to growing our presence in this key market. Enotria&Coe is the ideal partner to help us achieve this; with its expertise in multiple channels and the breadth of our portfolio, we have never been more confident in Bonterra’s future.”

Bonterra owns near to 1,000 acres of organic vineyards in Mendocino County. These sites form the backbone of its collection, complemented by fruit from select organic growers from elsewhere in the region.

It has a collection of different varietals in its portfolio including: Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Rose, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Viogier and Chardonnay. Bonterra has also produced limited release single-vineyard wines under its Biodynamically Farmed Collection from its Biodynamic ranches.
