Buckingham Schenk to represent te Pa wines in UK

10 April, 2018

Buckingham Schenk has been appointed exclusive UK agent for New Zealand’s te Pa Family Vineyards.

From May this year Buckingham Schenk will distribute the full portfolio in the UK, including the te Pa and Pa Road ranges.

The producer, based in the Marlborough region, has a history dating back 800 years. The company was set up by the MacDonald family whose Maori lineage stems back to 1350. The te Pa estate spread over 400ha of vineyards in Marlborough’s Wairau and Awatere regions.

The vineyard grows Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir under the supervision of chief winemaker Liam McElhinney, who is known for his role as winemaker with Marisco Vineyards, where he developed The Ned brand. He also worked at Trinity Hill and Saint Clair.

Craig Durham, managing director of Buckingham Schenk, said: “We are delighted to be appointed by te Pa Family Vineyards as their UK agent. We feel privileged to represent a producer which has such as long history and strong bonds with their local terroir and we can’t wait to start working with Haysley, Liam and their team.”
