Hammonds of Knutsford to distribute Chilgrove Spirits
Chilgrove Spirits and Hammonds of Knutsford have signed a new distribution deal, which coincides with the launch of Chilgrove’s new Bramble Edition Gin.
The new deal will see Chilgrove’s portfolio of spirits secure new routes to market in both the off and on-trade in the UK and Europe.
Christopher Beaumont-Hutchings, md and co-founder, said: “Finding the right distribution partner has been a key focus for us over the past year and we are very excited to be working alongside the incredible team at Hammonds as we continue to grow the Chilgrove brand. Their depth of business and industry acumen along with the quality of their sales-force and logistics makes them the perfect fit as we take our business to the next level.”
Jonathan Hammond, md of Hammonds of Knutsford, said: “We are ecstatic to be Chilgrove Spirits chosen exclusive UK distribution partner, having previously been an early supporter of their innovative and unique grape based spirits. We certainly love their drinks, and the new Bramble variant can only be described as a fantastic edition to their portfolio. I look forward to an enjoyable, long lasting and fruitful partnership, excuse the pun!”
The Bramble Edition uses 100% grape-alcohol blended with Sussex natural mineral water, along with 12 botanicals including blackberry. The resulting London Dry Gin is then infused with whole English blackberries, resulting in a ruby-red gin with fruit flavours.
Beaumont-Hutchings said: “Introducing blackberries carefully in these two separate parts of the gin-making process ensures that juniper remains at the forefront which, coupled with the bottling-strength of 42% abv, truly earns its title of ‘super-premium gin’.
“Interest in fruit and flavoured gins is soaring and we are very excited to be putting our unique stamp on this burgeoning sub-sector of the gin market. The smooth texture of our signature grape-base marries perfectly with the subtly notes of English blackberries delivering a serious gin that is guaranteed to impress.”
