That Boutique-y Gin Co creates bespoke gin for Asda

That Boutique-y Gin Company (TBGC) has announced the launch of a bespoke gin created exclusively for Asda stores.

Gingle All the Way will be a limited edition festive launch and it boasts “warming, zesty botanicals”.

Michael Vachon, co-founder and head of brand development at Maverick Drinks, said: “At Maverick we are uniquely positioned to help our partners create bespoke products. By working closely with Atom Brands, especially That Boutique-y Drinks Company, we are able to turn great ideas into new products faster than anyone in the business. We were delighted to work with Asda on this brand new festive launch.”

Gingle All The Way, which is the first product from That Boutique-y Gin Company to be listed in Asda, was the winning blend from the three presented to the Asda buying team.

The gin has a personalised label featuring a festive serve surrounded by botanicals and sitting within a snow globe. The gold inscription wishes a ‘Merry Christmas’ bookended by two owls in honour of Asda’s hometown of Leeds.

Ryan Ormrod, Asda’s spirits buying manager, said: “We wanted to work with the team at That Boutique-y Gin Company to produce a craft spirit for our shoppers that encompassed the festive feeling that you get when you share a drink amongst friends and family over Christmas. The result is a warming spirit with a true festive sparkle which we know our customers will love.”

From January 2019, Maverick Drinks will continue its partnership with Asda, replacing Gingle All The Way with TBGC’s Moonshot Gin, which contains botanicals that have been sent into near-space and exposed to an air pressure of less than 1/100th of that at sea level.

Gingle All The Way is priced at £29.50 for a 50cl bottle and it is available in 506 Asda and online.
