Brockmans appoints former Jägermeister boss as its new managing director
Craft gin producer Brockmans has pulled off a significant coup in hiring former Mast-Jägermeister UK chief executive Guy Lawrence as its new managing director.
Lawrence was previously global brand director at Bacardi, chief executive at Quintessentially and European managing director at Russian Standard Vodka before joining Jägermeister.
He will be tasked with leading Brockmans’ international expansion while ensuring it retains a strong presence in its UK heartland.
Neil Everitt and Bob Fowkes set up Brockmans in 2008 and it has enjoyed strong growth over the past 11 years after gaining listings at some major UK retailers.
It has now started bringing industry heavyweights on board in order to take it to the next level.
In October it has appointed former Diageo chief executive Paul Walsh to its advisory board as it put the finishing touches on a five-year growth plan designed to double sales.
Now Lawrence will bring his operational expertise to the brand, which recently appointed Cellar Trends as its UK distributor. “It’s exciting to be able to join a brand and team with so much potential,” said Lawrence.
Everitt added: “Guy is a stellar addition to the team, and attracting talent of his calibre and experience shows what an exciting journey Brockmans is on.
“Guy has worked with some of the world’s best known spirits brands and overseen their rapid growth trajectories and the team are very excited to start working with him.”
