Pernod Ricard adds Italian spirit Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto

Pernod Ricard has added with Italian spirits brand Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto to its portfolio. 

The bergamot-infused aperitivo was created by mixologist and Italian spirits expert, Giuseppe Gallo, who will be chief executive of the brand’s ongoing development. The drink was created three years ago and it is now available in more than 30 markets across the world. 

Giuseppe Gallo, founder of Italicus, said: “The brand has experienced success with both the on-trade and consumers since its launch, and it is now time to consolidate with this heavyweight strategic partner in order to accelerate our global distribution with USA and UK as top priority. We have an ambitious plan to build Italicus into one of the world’s most successful aperitivo brands.”
