The Drinks Coach UK pledges support for The Drinks Trust

The Drinks Coach UK is encouraging all brands featured in the daily sessions to donate to The Drinks Trust's Covid-19 Emergency Fund.

TV personality and wine expert Joe Wadsack launched The Drinks Coach UK last month, streaming 10 to 12-minute videos at 8.30pm every weekday via its YouTube Channel. Wadsack takes viewers on a tour of the drinks world from the comfort of his soda, sharing his industry experience and keeping viewers entertained while improving their drinks knowledge.

He said: “As we all know, the hospitality trade has been badly hit by the Coronavirus and we want to do our best to help out. So, from this week, we will be encouraging all brands featured in my daily sessions to make a suitable donation to The Drinks Trust to support its great work.

“All drinks that are featured in The Drinks Coach UK are drinks that I personally enjoy and that I want to encourage consumers to explore. We have been approached by many companies and brands wanting to know how to get involved and now we can harness that interest in a way that helps others who really need support through our dedicated JustGiving page.”

James Gabbani of drinks communications agency Cube, which is working with The Drinks Coach UK, said: “This seems to be a win-win for all involved at a time when we all feel like we are losing. Beers, wines, spirits, low/ no, mixers, coffee tea – you name it – if Joe likes it and features it, a donation to The Drinks Trust will make it taste even better!”

The Drinks Trust – formerly The Benevolent – launched its Covid-19 Emergency Fund last month to support those in the hospitality industry directly affected by the Covid-19 outbreak.
