Glengoyne mini to get past Customs

Glengoyne Distillery is hoping to get around luggage restrictions preventing whisky lovers from putting bottles in their hand baggage by producing its first miniature pack.

The tin contains three 5cl bottles of the 10, 17 and 21 Year Old Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. It comes with a distillery booklet, which provides information on Glengoyne's 175-year history and the awards it has won.

The packaging has been designed to protect the product when travelling, while the 5cl bottles and compact tin "provide a practical solution to certain luggage restrictions", according to the distillery.

Iain Weir, marketing director at Ian Macleod Distillers, added: "The design of the new miniature pack had to be practical, but also reflect the premium quality of its contents. The miniature pack is the perfect introduction to Glengoyne and we expect it to be an excellent recruiter to the brand."

Distributed by Harvey-Miller Wine & Spirits Agencies, the pack will retail for £15.99.
