Chateau Ksara appoints Rachel Davey as UK brand ambassador
Chateau Ksara, one of Lebanon’s top wineries, has appointed Rachel Davey as its UK brand ambassador.
Davey has been a PR consultant in the wine trade and the wider drinks business since 2006 and currently works with the Plumpton Wine Division, Circumstance Distillery and the Champagne Sparkling Wine World Championships.
The move follows the news earlier this year that Chateau Ksara has appointed Berkmann Wine Cellars as its UK distributor.
Davey said: “I’ve been involved with Chateau Ksara since 2017.
“With this new appointment, I can really roll up my sleeves and work closely with the owners and Berkmann Wine Cellars to reach its potential in what is arguably the most exciting wine trade in the world.
“Chateau Ksara is Lebanon’s oldest winery with an exciting range of wines. Lebanese wine is on the move and Chateau Ksara is certainly at the forefront of that charge.”
Alex Hunt MW, Berkmann’s purchase director, said: “We very much look forward to working with Rachel in developing Chateau Ksara within our market.
“Our launch plans having been somewhat interrupted by current events but our conviction in the potential of Chateau Ksara and this new partnership remains undiluted, and it will be full steam ahead once the trade begins to reopen.”
Hunt added that Berkmann has two Chateau Ksara wines available through its online shop, help4hospitality.co.uk, from which it is donating 12.5% of revenue to the hospitality industry during the lockdown.
