Thatchers adds Green Goblin
Thatchers has added Green Goblin cider to its portfolio.
The product was launched by Wychwood Brewery in 2007 and produced under licence by Thatchers.
A deal has been struck with the brewery’s owner, Marston’s – which bought Wychwood two years ago – for Thatchers to take over all sales, marketing and distribution for the 6% abv, oak-aged bottled cider from March 29.
Martin Thatcher, managing director of the Somerset cidermaker, said: “Green Goblin will complement our portfolio perfectly.
“The brand has great character, and has built up a loyal following among male drinkers. With our strong commitment to the cider category, Green Goblin is in safe hands.” He said Thatchers will be supporting Green Goblin with a trade campaign this spring.
